Website Builder Pricing

Website Builder Pricing

Almost everyone today understands the importance of having a website. All business owners know that an online identity is an important tool for success of their businesses. Nowadays more and more people have started to look up for products or services on the Internet. In order to cater this huge audience a website is considered a must for any business.

Business owners do not get time to develop high-quality websites for their businesses. In order to help these entrepreneurs professional online website builders are considered to be of great help. These tools are especially created for people who lack the knowledge of designing a website. Website builders come along with all the necessary tools that save time as well as money on designing a website. Here are the top advantages of using an online website builder.

Squarespace  offers one of the best website builder software platforms, that immediately stands out from the competition. The Squarespace platform doesn't hit you with lengthy feature lists and densely packed comparison tables, for instance. Instead, it follows a 'show, don't tell' approach, presenting a host of templates and design ideas to help you understand what's possible. And this turns out to make a lot of sense, because Squarespace has some of the most gorgeous templates around.

This doesn't mean Squarespace is short on features. The service has plenty to boast about: intelligent SEO tools, comprehensive social media integration, performance boosting CDN support, image and video galleries, free fonts, interactive chart controls, a powerful blogging platform, professional web store, the list goes on…

Plans and pricing

Squarespace offers four main plans and does not have a free option. Squarespace does include a 14 day free trial, but once that period ends, you’ll need to select a paid plan to continue using the product. Here’s an overview of all four plans, how much it costs, and what it includes.

The Advanced Commerce plan is $40.00 per month (when paid annually). It includes all the features in the Basic Commerce plan plus advanced shipping, customer discounts, and the ability to sell subscriptions. For businesses who want to take advantage of all the Squarespace ecommerce features, this plan has it all.

Interface

Squarespace’s interface is not as easy to use as some website builders, but this is mostly due to how many features there are available. All templates can be previewed in full before making a decision. There's no need to spend an age agonizing over this, though – unlike some website builders, if you decide you don't like the template later, you're free to switch to something else. Select your favorite design and Squarespace prompts you to create an account by entering your name and email address.

To add a widget to a page (or a 'content block', as Squarespace calls it), click on Edit (top left of the interface), then scroll over the page until insert sections are revealed (little grey bubbles with a long grey horizontal line attached to them). Click on one of those to see all the options Squarespace offers, including buttons, text, images, galleries, video, audio, forms, layout controls, and more.

Features

Squarespace's various web service integrations give you more possibilities. A SoundCloud block enables users to navigate a complete playlist, for instance, while you can have Squarespace always display your latest content from Flickr, Instagram and other sites. Alternatively, you can set up the control to search for public images using a specific hashtag, perhaps finding all pictures relating to your company, wedding or any major event.

Put it all together and we suspect there's more than enough media handling power for most users. And even if you need something more, an Embed Code block may allow integrations with other services, and the Squarespace Business plan provides Code Blocks to insert custom HTML and scripts.

The competition

There are many other website builders on the market - Wix, GoDaddy, and Webnode are just a few of the options. Unlike some of the competition, the blog editor doesn't limit the controls you can use in a post. You're able to add images, videos, maps, galleries, anything you can use within a regular web page. The main writing area keeps options to a minimum. Adding tags or categories, enabling or disabling comments for the post, saving it as a draft, publishing it immediately or scheduling publication for later, can all be done by clicking on the post’s title at the top of the page.

Final thoughts

Squarespace's editor and creative layouts means it is an excellent web builder for those willing to learn how to use it. While it might be a little more time consuming compared to other web hosts around, it’s templates really stand out. This website builder has so many design options that you won’t be bored with updating your website. The ecommerce option also has tons of updated features helpful for creating a professional store. Squarespace is a great option for anyone who needs more than the basics for website building.

Webnode is an online website builder system and developed by Westcom, S.R.O, a company based in Brno, Czech Republic. It is an amazing and simple website builder. It offers a variety of features to reach your digital goals.Webnode is a drag and drop website builder developed by Webnode AG, a Swiss company. The service embraces the "what you see is what you get" (WYSIWYG) principle, helping users without any programming knowledge to create and host their own websites.Configuration and Usability

Registering with Webnode only requires a few clicks, the input of an e-mail address, and the selection of a domain name. After this, you'll be asked whether you want to create a website or an online shop. Of course, the differences between the two have become blurred over recent years, and you are able to integrate a store into your website later if the need arises.

After this, you're provided with a selection of templates. Once you've chosen the template for your site, you'll be taken to the editor. Here, you should feel immediately at home: Webnode stresses only the most important or critical features, with a slimmed-down interface the happy result. Apart from a few items in the menu above, which allow you to edit your products, pages, and general settings, you'll do all other work with elements directly in the main window, which also doubles as a sort of site preview.

In Webnode's editor, your website is primarily divided into sections, the selection menu for which is reached by clicking on the plus sign that appears between columns. Using this, you can add text, images, columns, contact forms, and all sorts of other content.

Content can be moved around like puzzle pieces, interlocking with one another. This means that your drag and drop freedom is somewhat more limited than in other editors, however, as a result, elements are guaranteed to be symmetric and aligned. You can also easily undo any unwanted changes by clicking on the arrow in the upper menu.

Similarly to the editor, the settings menu is also sleek and uncluttered. In addition to an overview of your account, which shows your bandwidth and storage capacity, you can also connect your Google Analytics account, or tinker with other settings.

Webnode's editor is intuitive and highly accessible, meaning that within a short amount of time, anyone can dexterously use it. Of course, this comes at the cost of certain features, however, in terms of usability Webnode is a real force to be reckoned with.

Features

Basically, Webnode possesses everything that a good website builder should. As noted above, its editor only emphasizes the most essential elements, and as such, is somewhat limited in comparison to those of its competitors.

The menu's features do make sense, however, a bit more choice would definitely do the service a world of good as far as clarity goes. As two examples, Wix and Weebly both make far more elements accessible in the menus of their editors than Webnode, and that without overcomplicating things.

Similarly, Webnode's blogging features are restricted to the bare necessities. In the editor's main menu, you can manage your blog like a regular site, with all entries arranged according to their date(s) of publication. You can also add new entries. To work with your blog, you're provided the same tools and elements as in the standard editor, and you can add SEO to every entry. However, additional features like tags or categories aren't included.

Regrettably, Webnode doesn't have an app center to make up for its somewhat limited selection of features. Other website builders like Wix, greatly enhance their features through their so-called 'app market'. To offset this, Webnode does allow the entry of elements containing user-defined HTML code, allowing you to further customize your website beyond the pre-packaged tools that the service comes with, so long as you have the necessary proficiency in coding to do so.

Webnode prioritizes user-friendliness, and its straightforward editor clearly underlines this. With that said, other programs have certainly done a better job of balancing between simplicity and functionality. We can't help but feel that Webnode's user-friendliness might be something of a mask to conceal its lack of features. At the end of the day though, users are provided with exactly what they need to create a site or blog, albeit, little more.

Templates & Design

With around 100 templates, categorized as "Blogs", "Music", or "Portfolio", Webnode offers its users an impressive array of design options. Most of these will endow your site with a sleek and modern look, however, there aren't too many fancy or eccentric templates. Since the designs are striking on their own, it's likely that users will simply add original content or move a few elements around, creating unmistakeably stylistic sites, albeit in our opinion, somewhat generic and conventional ones.

Switching between different templates is not possible without starting over, however, you can modify the background, colors, as well as fonts of your page(s).

As noted above, speed and simplicity are Webnode's main priorities, and this extends to their templates too, each of which enables users to quickly and easily create functioning websites that look the part. The cost of this simplicity, however, is creative freedom, for which we've deducted a few points.

Marketing, SEO, & E-Commerce

Product management, which makes it easy to add new products, is the most important aspect of any online store, and Webnode doesn't disappoint here. The service allows you to enter information about the number of products available, add different variants, and create collections for large groups of products. Somewhat hidden in the menu, under "Discounts", you can also add rebates to certain products, and direct visitor attention to price changes.

Further adjustments to your online shop can be made in the "Settings" menu. Here, you can enter your contact information as well as set shipping and payment methods. For the latter, alongside the usual options, you can also integrate Stripe and PayPal.

With that said, some features, offered by other website builders, are missing. For example, we didn't find any possibilities for offering or redeeming coupons or gift cards , or support for e-mail campaigns. Even though discounts and vouchers have been added, these features could be beefed up.

SEO & Analytics

Under "Page Settings" you can access the most important SEO settings, such as meta descriptions, title tags, keywords, and subsite URLs. However, managing the SEO settings of your products, as offered by Wix, is not available in Webnode as of the time of writing.

Webnode provides information about purchase statistics and site viewership under the "Project Overview" heading, however, Google Analytics can be easily integrated should you prefer to use it.

Webnode provides you with all the tools you need to create a functional online store, however, in comparison to other website builders, the toolbox they make available isn't all too full. In exchange, Webnode does greatly facilitate the setting up of online stores, providing solid SEO and Analytics support.

Customer Support

Webnode's handbook includes a number of tutorials, as well as FAQs which can answer any number of questions that might arise when using the site builder. These short texts are clear and illustrated with a number of pictures, helping to resolve issues step-by-step.

If the FAQs don't provide the help you've hoped for, you can also contact the support team by e-mail, which tries to answer all queries within 24 hours.

Advantages of Using a Website Builder Tool

If you are starting a new website or changing the look of your current website, there are several ways to go about it. One is to go through the painstaking process of coding every page of your site, testing the code in several browsers, and fixing the code as needed. The other is using a website builder, which makes it easy to transform bland pages into attractive ones. Whether you are posting pictures of your pets or trying to attract clients to your business, using this tool has several advantages.

Templates

You do not need to be a website designer or graphic designer to create an attractive website. Your Minnesota website hosting company gives you the option of using a website builder that makes it easy to create a unique look and feel for your site. This tool typically comes with dozens of templates, making it easy to tweak the colors and font styles on your site. Templates also allow you to place graphics and other design elements exactly where you want them. A website builder makes it easy to build an attractive website without spending hours writing code.

Reduced Cost

Professional website design is a good investment, especially if you plan to use your site for business purposes. However, a website builder can help you launch your business if you do not have the capital available to pay a designer. Once you use the website builder to launch your website, you can use the revenue from your new site to pay a designer when you are ready for an upgrade. If you want to start multiple websites, using a website builder can greatly reduce your startup costs and decrease the amount of time it takes you to make a profit.

Reduced Time

Designing your own website and hiring a website designer both have the same drawback: it takes a lot of time to get the finished product ready. When you design your own site, you must spend hours writing code and testing it to make sure it works properly. If you a hire a website designer, the designer most likely has other clients, which means you might have to wait several weeks for your finished website. When you use a website builder, you can make changes with just a few clicks, greatly reducing the amount of time it takes to finish your site.

Stock Images

If your Minnesota hosting company offers a website builder, you might also be able to access a library of stock photos and graphics. These stock images can save you thousands of dollars, as they eliminate the need to hire a professional graphic designer or photographer. Because there are so many images available in a stock library, there is a good chance you can find something relevant to your website’s topic. These images also make it easy to spice up landing pages or completely change the look of your website’s static pages.

Drag-and-Drop Design

If you decide to move something on one of your website’s pages, do you want to spend an hour writing new code? Probably not. That is why a website builder is such a great tool for anyone who wants to make frequent changes. If you want to move one of your site’s design elements, you simply drag it to its new location and drop it into place. This takes just a few seconds, but it can make a big difference in how your website looks and functions.

A website builder can save you a lot of time, money, and frustration, so be sure to choose a Minnesota hosting company that offers this tool. Website builders make it easy to launch a new site and make changes when needed, making it possible to respond to your user’s needs even when those needs change frequently.
